Bromley Picturehouse Art Print
Art Deco London: The Bromley Picturehouse Illustrated Architecture Print.
Art Deco buildings in my opinion look spectacular at night. The lights accentuating the angles, lines and the intricate details. I could pass this building during the day and probably miss it, but at night- it's magical.
Couldn't resist a tiny tribute to Bromley boy Bowie in this iconic Bromley landmark.
The original building dates from 1936, representing the art deco style of famed architect George Coles. the narrow frontage on the main High Street consisted of a deeply curved recess which was flanked by rounded wings and an outwardly curving canopy that had the Odeon name sign mounted on top of it.
Fully refurbished to the plans of architectural firm Earle Architects, the Picturehouse Bromley re-opened in 2019.
