Tate Modern Switch House Illustrated Art Print

Tate Modern The Switch House Illustrated Art Print

An interesting Illustrated up-side down poster of the Tate Modern.

What's not to love about spiral staircases and neon lights!

The Tate Modern's newest extension the 'Switch House' is a thing of beauty. Concrete on concrete, checkerboard windows, spiralling steps and enclosed arcs- this building is the biggest exhibit in itself.

Pushing boundaries with geometry and textures, like a new brutalism. Designed by Herzog & de Meuron, who converted the original Bankside factory building in 2000, adding 60% extra space to the gallery.

It's so refreshing to have this amidst a cluster of soulless glass skyscrapers, and such a significant addition to the architectural icons of London.

Yellow Blue and Red.

The colours inspired by Piet Mondrian, (also on display at the Tate). A pioneer of modern abstract art, of the most rigorous kind.
